Brian Shimer founded Lionhearted Ministries in 2020 after over 30 years of following Jesus in local church leadership. He has pastored four congregations in that time, and counseled many individuals. Married to Karen for over 40 years, he’s also a dad and well-loved grandfather.

“You are lionhearted,” a pastor spoke over Brian decades ago, long before he felt anything but fear in his heart. Jesus used that word to call Brian to a deeper walk into the depths of pain associated with his own sexual abuse and the depths of mercy discovered in healing. Over the years of healing and bringing healing to others, Brian has discovered being “lionhearted” means being true to the person God intended him to be. He’s courageous in prayer, joyful in spirit and able to walk with you.
